Functionality of PO:

1. We go for purchasing when there is a dip in on-hand quantity( Item Based).
2. So requester will raise requisition for purchase of item in accordance to their Min-Max Planning  or ReOrder Point Planning or Just in Time Planning.
3. A requisition get fulfilled when we buy an item from a supplier or a vendor
4. So we create a supplier base in our Oracle system based on which we can straight away rasie a Purchase order else we follow below process

Requisition ---> Purchase Department ----> RFQ from  Supplier----->Quote Analysis on RFQ by (Purchase Department)---->If Requisition conditions get satisfied ----> raise a Purchase Order to that Supplier.

Even we buy Services in the same manner.
