Why it's more efficient to work in the global GUI map file mode in comparison of GUI map file per test mode, whereas we have to manually save the GUI in Global Mode?

Global GUI Map File maintains Common entries for all the Tests and makes efficient use of the memory. Whereas GUI MAP PerTest makes maintains seperate entities for each Test. Please Correct me if i am wrong ..

Global GUI map file is more efficient as if any object's properties are changed we need to change just one global map file.

Global GUI map file is used as a file which stores all the objects required for the total application.So memory used is less compared to GUI map file per test. In GUI map file per test we store GUI map file for every test we run.If any changes are made in the application then if me make change to the entry in global GUI map file then all tests are updated, but in GUI map file per test mode we have to update the object in every test.
