For written test you are required to have basic knowledge of all Mechanical subjects like FM, Material Sc, Mechanics, DOM & Manufacturing.

Most friequently asked topics are Bernullies theorem, Pullies, flywheel etc. (Refer the book G.K Publisher for GATE)
English is not a big task.
Mental Ability: Questions related to Cubes, Dice, Pictorial (Refer the book R.S Agrawal)
Be well prepared for Group Discussion because it is the toughest part of recruitement proccessor mainly if you are from hindi medium.
