In a music concert, I was sitting only 100 feet away from the musicians.
The performance was broadcasted. My sister who lives in Banglore also heard the same concert on the radio. I m sure u know that Banglore is over a 1000 miles away from calcutta and also that sound travels at 1100 feet per sec. Do u think there was any difference in the times at which the music was heard by my sister and myself. If yes, Explain?

buddy!listener would be able to listen to the note first because the sound travels at 330m/sec and the listener is sitting only 100 m away.

both will here at the same time. the sound travells not through the air but as electrical pulses through wires and its speed is equal to the speed of light then it travells frm the radio through the air at the speed of sound .if i am wrong someone correct me.

You are absolutely correct in radio sound doesn't travels .... the energy waves travel ... @ light speedso there won't be any difference .... although if u take a deep insight with million factors ..... u'll get little delay ... LOL but's it's an IQ ques not $^%$^%$^%$%^

as far as iam concerned i think ur sister will hear the note before u.because via satellite the programme will be transmitted as electromagnetic radio waves which travels at a rate of 3*10^8 m/s.but the difference will be negligibly small that it can be picked up neither by u nor by ur sister.
