So many comments r there abt REPORTS...So

IDOC(INTERMIDIATE DOCUMENT) these r used instead of FLAT FILES...when we r transferring data from LEGACY system to SAP system we need to translate the data into the format of FLAT FILE or IDOC....then only SAP system can identified the data...

bUT flatfile IS INSECURE...So idoc concept comes to picture....

All answers posted so far deal with ABAP reporting. Please note that you can also generate Sapscript forms and Smart Forms from SAP. Although these are not part of ABAP reporting specifically, they are output forms generated by an ABAP program.
