The min number is 1 - you can get all three balls of same color if you are lucky on the first try!

Try reframe the question correctly.

Well the when you have 11 chances you can pick 11balls of different color.Then you pick another 11 then you will get again 11 balls of different color.Then 23rd ball you pick will be a ball of the same color as two others.So therefore you have 23 chances.

hi this prob can b explained like this.

we hav to pich 3 balls of same clr from a bag containing 11 diff coloured balls.

so 1st pick11 balls of 11 diff clrs.

now pick again the 11 diff coloured balls.

now pick 1 ball of any clr.

so tne ans is 23.(now u get 3 balls of same clr).
