Tom wants to catch a hare. He is standing 250 yards south from the hare. The hare
starts moving due east.Tom, instead of moving in the northeast direction,moves in such a way that at every instant,he is goingtowards the hare. If speed of tom is one and one-third times that of the hare, find the distance each
traveled before he caught the hare.

WE CAN EASILY FIND IT BY THE PYTHAGORAS
let the speed of the hare is x
then speed of tom is    4/3x
let the taken is t
so xt^2+250^2=4/3xt^2
so we can find the xt and 4/3xt from here
and the total distance(xt+4/3xt)travelled by them

Time taken by Tom is equal to Hare

Speed of Hare is x speed of tom is 1.33x

distance traveled by hare hare is y traveled by tom is 1.33y

sin inv(1/1.33) 48.6 deg

in northeast direction
