Test Design involves preparation of Test Cases, Test Scripts, Input Data, ExpectedOutput Data, Test Tracablilty Matrix, Test Coverage and Test Scenario. And also involves to get the documents reviewed and approved from the superiors

Plz correct if i am wrong somewhere..

The overall project test plan is written at a very high level. It breaks the specific features and testable items but does not specify exactly how those features will be tested?Test design refines the test approach. It identifies the the test cases and test procedure.It doesn't give the detailed cases or the steps to execute to perform the testing.That is covered in test cases
