the galaxy schema is also know as fact constellation scheme.it requires no of fact tables to share dimension tables.in dataware housing mainly the people are using theconceptual hierarchy

In Business Objects unvierse creation we do have two types of Hierarchies Custom and Default Hierarchies. Default hierarchies are by default all objects in a given class. For example Time Dimension. By default you can define Time Dimension Year, Quarter, Month and Day.
