Kindly suggest how to install and configure Informatica in Unix. I have installed informatica in Windows 2000 can I use the same CDs to install in unix ..

don't mind what i am going to say if you already knew it.

Along with Informatica you will get documentation. where you have Installation guide. It is the best thing in the world to refer to install Informatica.

you need seperate licence key for unix.

I dont think windows licenese key works for UNIX.

You cannot install informatica using the same CD that used for windows. You need to have a separate licence key for unix. Install process is quite simples , only you need to run the file called install after coping the software to a perticular directory where you want to store your software. However configuration part is bit compex. You need to take care of certain things


1) port available

2) export the complete path of repository server and server directory to the $PATH variable in unix.
