The cube is painted red and is cut to 27 equal pieces. The center of the each face will have one small cube tat has only one face painted red so a total of 6. the comin to two faces painted red the adjacent faces to the one face towards both axis therefore 4+ 3 +3 +2 that is 12. comin to 3 faces there are vertex tat will be painted red total vertex 8. and one at the core tat has no face painted red.soOne face 6Two face 12Three face 8no face 1Total 27.No solution as equation.
