Where exactly dimension and fact tables are useful? Is it source or target?
We are importing source directly from database and transforming and loading the data to target.
Can anybody please send where they exactly it is useful?

when u doing analysis this will be use full. how u r taking decesions? depends  on reports so dimentions and fact tables use full in reporting.

Dimesions and fact tables are nothing but tables

Dimesions and facts are targets for the mappings

first u have to load the data into dimensions these are called master tables after that by using transaction tables and master tables you have to populate the data into fact table.
