What is the difference between Turnaround time and Waiting time ?

Turnaround Time  is a execution time of the system for a particular module. and Waiting time is a time for which system is waiting till the next instruction is not available.

Hi,Turnaround time is total excecution time of thesingle transaction and waiting time is the time gap between two consecutive actions.

I just want to add something to this, it is OS point of view.........Turnaround time is the time since the process entered into ready queue for execution till the process completed it's execution.......waiting time is the time process spent in the ready queue and for I/O completion.

Turnaround time: The Time taken to start from the process and to the end of the process is called Turnaround time.
ex: Entereing the Atm card to the ATM machine untill the full process finished

Waiting time:The time taken to wait for another process is called Waiting time
ex: Asking for Pin number in Atm and wait untill the pin passed.
