hi Friends! i m Muhammad Ovais doing B.TECH from IET-BHADDAL, ROPAR. Today i-Flex has taken Joint Campus Placement test for all the colleges of Punjab and Chandigarh established in 2002 or before. The venue of the test was at GNDU Amritsar. And a total of 595 students were appeared out of 138+ (50 or so) students have been short listed for interviews to be held on tomorrow and some today itself in the evening. I m not among these selected because of my Bad luck i think....
Ok lets now come to point..... THe procedure of selection is as: 1. Test 2. G.D, (Optional) means may or may not be. 3. HR Interview 4. Technical Interview
But G.D. was not there for our placement...
THE TEST CONSISTS OF 5 SECTIONS EACH HAVING 10 QUESTIONS AND EACH QUESTIONS HAS FOUR OPTION ONLY ONE ANSWER IS RIGHT OUT OF OPTIONS GIVEN.EACH RIGHT ANSWER RISE YOUR SCORE BY 1. AND EACH WRONG ANSWER DEDUCTS 1/4 MARKS FROM YOUR TOTAL.THERE I SNO SECTIONAL CUT-OFF. AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE(BUT IT WAS NOT DISCLOSED). THE TOTAL CUT-OFF WAS OF 25 MARKS.THE DETAILS OF TEST QUESTIONS I REMEBERED ARE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1
It was based on English. There were questions like Matching the words according to a given pair of words (3-4 questions). Scond type i dont remember as i did not stress on English much. and third type of questions was to Answer 3or 4 questions by reading a passage related to Titanic Ship.... This section was not tough but students who have studied in hindi or some other medium till 10th may take it as a little tough but they can solve atleast 60% easily.
SECTION 2 (Statistics not Statics type questions)
1. very easy question .. A table consisting of Five companies A,B,C,D,E, is given and their profits or Shares for almost Seven years 2000-2006 were given., you have to answer the Four or Five very simple questions...
2. Again a very simple question..... A bar graph relating to Sales, Profit and EB of i-flex for Previous Four years wsa given. You have to answer 5 very simple questions..
IF ONE CONCENTRATES PROPERLY HE/SHE CAN DO THIS SECTION WITHIN A MAXIMUM OF 5 MINUTES.
SECTION 3
This section was a little tough comparing to section 2.
1-2 or 3 questions were realted to completing the Series something like accbac, cbabbac, abcbcabb, ?... i dont remember exacltly. You can solve theses questions by reversing the order of letters of previous term and manipulating a little more.. 4. There is a word of twelve Alphabets. (i). The word is such that if we place the next letter below it and so on then it becomes in alphabetical order. (i0. THe word was containing equal number of letters from the 6 four letters given words. Ans. (a)or (c) Most Probably (c). That was a Good question.
5. How many english letters are interchangeable through their River Image. ANs. 11 (d) option i think Next Five Questions were based on Seven letters given H,I,J,K, & so on... and each letter i s assigned a digit having values undder(dont remember exactly). three conditions are given: H is the middle term, J is 3 less than G and one more i doont remember. based on this u have to answer Five questions i could not answer this because i did not have much time.
SECTION 4 (DIRECTION PROBLEMS)
NOT VERY TOUGH SECTION.
ONE DIRECTION I REMEMBERED IS
SOME WOMEN ARE TEACHERS ALL TEACHERS A RE GOOD. TWO OPTONS WERE THERE according to 4 possible choices were made.
One More Direction was
It was related to Busineemen and their nature as Suoperstitious.. etc etc...
SECTION 5
this section was an Average section not very tough not very simple... U will need to spend sometime on solving the quetions....
Two or Three questions (not in order) i remembered are:
1. Some lady has Five daughters. Oldest is three times the Youngest. Each daughter is four yrs older than the just younger sister. You have to find the ages of all the daughters.. ANS. I think u can solve it easily. Also there was only one option i think having the common difference of 4. But i had solved it. 2.ram and Sham sitting in a Resturent are listening to th e Four ppls sitting opposite to them around around table.. two fem MALA and JANE and two guys Willis and one more name. some conditions were like Willis and Jane always sitting together, Person siitting left to Mal ais Doctor, Lawu=yer i ssitting across Jane etc. YOU have to tell who is Doctor by Profession..
NOTE:- I will strongly recommened not to Study R.S. Aggarwal For i-FLEX.
Thats all i remembered guys if remembered some more i will add here..

RE: hi Friends!i m Muhammad Ovais doing B.TECH f...
two more questions i remembered are:
CODING related Question:
1. words CALCULATOR and CORRELATION (i think) are given and their corresponding coding is given.. BY using this u have to code the word CORRECT... it was very simple one can do it easily.
I would also like to modify the 3rd round is Technical Interview and Fourth one is HR earlier i have written it in reverse order.
Also i got the GOOD news for my Selection in iFlex.. on the frst day they made a mistake in announcing the names of some candidates. but second day they called me and i Apppeared for the Interview. which was Quiet simple... even simple than any of ur exams.. HR Uma asked me abt myself, then abt my family, then she saw my resume asked questions related to webs/waps designed by me(html/dhtml). and thenshe asked me the definition of OOPS,then she asked abt the Current affairs... all this was included in Technical Interview. I could not clear the Interview beacuse i was tired bcoz of travelling too much and did noyt slept... I will recommend the contestants to prepare MICROPROCESSORS,C++ and any other language or hobby u have mentioned in ur resume... Best of Luck guys...
NOTE:- IF ANYONE OF U HAVE A LATEST PLACEMENT PAPER OF WIPRO(BEFORE 20th OF THIS MONTH) AND L&T INFOTECH (bEFORE 15th OF THIS MONTH), TCS (AUGUST 1st WEEK), IBM (AUGUST 1st WEEK), PLS SEND ME BEFORE THE DATES I HAVE WRITTEN WITHIN THE BRACKETS. PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
