As the Swings have more advantages over the AWT.. Why still in market are they using AWTs??plzz..i want answer..in many interviews they asked me the same.

Very Interesting Question:
I was waiting for a lot of time for any comments but could not find any....
Anyway...i think
AWT was mainly built for internet purpose initially.
Using AWT u can build many different components that don' t exists in JAVA/Swing like Calender and mary more......
so still market are using AWT to create their own components.

Because Applet is user for Internet Application,
Lot of security.
We cannot copy from Applet Window.

Swings are light wait components than AWT components. Swings are OS independent, having more component in swings than in AWT.

since swings is even developed on the top of awt

for example we have jbutton which is similar to button in awt

i.e; swings package is related to awt

why are will still using awt if swings has more advantages than awt.are there any specific features in awt that are not present in swings
