how to generate cubes in cognos plz add this question iam asking this question so many times
but iam not getting the answer neither this question is geetiing added

Hi Ravi

Power Play Transformer contain dimension measure model and cube. we can generate cube different way.

1. Just right click on cube name and build

2. we can write script in unix. using that we can generate cube.

Other way also is there.

First we have to build a model in the Transformer and then create the cube using Run option select Create PowerCubes

hai

first of all create .IQD file in impromtpu then by using cognos power play transformer create new cube in this we use that .iqd file as a source.

1)create the iqd in framework manager(add measures and dimensions and then change the externaize property to iqd)
2)import that iqd into transformer
3)create .mdc file from it
4)create data source for that mdc file(Datasource name)
5)import the .mdc file into framework manager as datasource
6)publish the package from it u can use it in anakysis studio
