How Many Types tab in Testdirector and explain it

there are 4 tabs available in Testdirector.

1. Requirement -> to track the customer requirenments

2.Testplan -> to design the testcases & to store the testscripts

3.Testlab -> to exectue  the testsets & track the results 

4.Defect -> to log a defect & to track the logged defects

Requirement--> To create  testing req. based on user req.

plan test --> to create  a plan based on test req.

test lab--> create test set and execute ur test cases.

defect tracking-->log defect & track defect from intial  to resolution  how it is tracking

Hi,

  Actually it defers from version.

In TD5.0 there are 3 tabs

1.Test plan-where we plan the test

2.Run test-where we execute the test cases individually or in test sets

3.Track Defects-where we can track the new defects

 In TD8.0 we have 4 tabs

the extra tab we have is Requirements Tab

They are three types of defects. They are

Planning Tests->Develop a test plan and create tests.

Running Tests->Execute the tests create in the planning Test phase, and analyze the test results.

Tracking Defects-> Monitor software quality. This inculdes reporting defects,

determining repair priorities, assign tasks, and tracking repair progress.

Test director has three tabs such as Planning Tests, Running Tests, Tracking Defects.

Planning Tests:Developed a Test plan and create tests.

Running Tests:Execute the Tests created in the planning Tests phase, and analyze the test results.

Tracking Defects:Monitor Software Quality. This includes reporting the defects, determining repairs priorities, assigning tasks, and tracking repair progess.
