hey check it out, here is the right ans, nos that is div by 8 = 999/8 = 124 nos that is div by 12 = 999/12 = 83 nos that is div by both 12 & 8( tat is lcm of 12 and 8, rem that 24 is div by 12 and 8, so its not 12*8!)= 41 total nos ae = 124+83-41 = 166 they asked nos div by neither 12 nor 8, then.... 999-166=833 so the ans is 833!!

| see the number that is neither divisible by 12 nor by 8 can be found out by a simple way 1st 12*8 96 between 1 & 999 we have 96 192 288 384 480 576 672 768 864 960 so this adds up to 10 numbers which are divisible by both 12 & 8 so just deduct this no. from total nos available 999-10 989 this is the no. of numbers which cannot be divided by both 12 & 8
