Can you please tell me whether Informatica 7.1.1 powercenter version can be installed on windows XP profesional. Iam trying to install both client and server on the same machine. But when Iam trying to create a system DSN from Source Analyzer menu, the application gets terminated it self. Please advise me if it should work.

after installing both informatica server and client first configure the rep.server and start the rep.server in services. if it is running fine then config the informatica server configuration.

Yes you can install the power center 7.1.1 in windows XP
1. Create a new user account in Oracle. and give grant and commint previliges to that account. 2. Configure informatica server by giving the details as
host name: the computer name. pwd: the pwd you given while installing server. User: the oracle user name (newly Created one) Pwd: pwd for the user name you created
then go for creating DSN. I hope this might help you in configuring Informatica Server.
