volume: large sets of data like

Stress: denying application of what it is needed or overburdening the application more than it is designed to handle

sudhakar please refer your answers this site acts as a guide line to many...somebody can even loose their job...

Volume Testing : is testing that purposely subjects a system (both hardware and software) to a series of tests where the volume of data being processed is the subject of the test.

Stress testing : is where you test the application's capacity beyound the requirements specification
