Hi Fellowmates...i am pretty new entrant into this. I am on QTP and into the beginning of it. I really need lot of support and help from your end.

When do we go with Object Repository and also the error handling. When i was running the script i got 2 messages for 2 runs saying that :-

Cannot find the 'keyword' objects parent "mainContent"(class frame) Verify that parent properties match an object currently displayed in your application.

Cannot identify the object "main_content_3' (of class frame). Verify that this object properties match an object currently displayed in your application

I really don't know what does this mean. Any suggestions are highly appreciated and i it would put me in a better position.

cheers

Each time when u recording the script it is creating new object name.

So it is not identifying ur objects ie y it is throwing an error.

Note: Specify the technology of the application. So that i can suggest u the better solution.

Hi

I think you should go for regular expressions in this situation.

Please let me know if i am wrong?

The first thing you need to do is check the object Proerties in OR against the testing properties shown for object using Object spy. If there is difference then change the values. The properies should have same value.

It shoud work just try...

Hello Friends

I suggest you to record all the Object of the frame in one go then depending on your scope you can delete the unwanted object in the frame. If the Contents of the frame changes on click operation or similar operation. Please consult Mercury. we are facing the same problem. Aplogize for any discrepancy in the Suggestion.

Thanks.

Nawab
