Hi, I am new to QTP. We are going to use QTP for Web application. So can you please tell me what are the settings that i have to take care while automating the web application?

hi!

i dont think so u will required any settings......u will required only two things....

1.QTP

2. Application

may be other things u will required to chk before testing like server connection....

To test the web application using QTP 9.0 u need to do settings for mouse events through web event configuration setting option...

For automating any web application no settings are required as such. But just make sure that in the OR the objects does not get added with "_1" or "_2".
EG : "Page_1" then again "Page_2"

Q: I am testing a web application and it does as you said -in the OR the objects does not get added with _1 or _2 . What are drawbacks of it and How to prevent that.
