yes we can plant 4 tree at equidistant from each other by placing 3 trees in forn equal distance triangle, then place 4th one at top and centre of 3, so that it will form shape of pyramid.

yes,by placing 3 tree in the vertex of an equilateral triangle of side a and fourth at median at the depth of (sqrt(2/3)*a).
