loadrunner 8.0 supports .net based appliations

Hi,

Can you please explaing the process of working with .net application in LoadRunner 8.0.  My application is a thin client arch' sitting on IDX framework and they are using C# to build the .net pages(application pages). I could not find the .net protocol to record the application.  I was able to record by using Http and winsocket protocol but didn't make much sense of what's being sent and received from server.

So please guide me as to how to select the .net protocol in Loadrunner8.0

Load runner 8.0 doesn't support Dotnet applications. Only Load runner 8.1 version will support Dotnet



if i am wrong please correct me

Plz can anyone give correct answer. Iam confused one is saying8.0 nd one is 8.1 which one is correct . I too dont know what is the correct one?

Performance testing for .NET applications, can be done using .NET protocol present in LR8.1 Feature pack4.

Kindly install LR8.1.4 on your machine.

Once you  have installed it, Select the VUgen.
Select New VUser script.

In the protocols listed, you will find the Microsoft .NET protcol as well.

You can then select this protocl for you fruther recording of the script and proceed further.
