There r some chickens and some chicken field.If we sell 75 chickens Then thefeed will last 20 days longer.If we buy 100 chickens more then the feed will get over before 15 days.What is the present number of chickens?

no of chickens x is inversaly proportional to the no of days y. therefore

x k/y.........(a) now consider the first condition

x-75 k/(y+20) k (x-75)(y+20).............(b) solve (a) and (b) and get the eq for k in terms of y

x+100 k/(y-15) k (x+100)(y-15)...........(c ) solve (a) and (c) and get the eq for k in terms of y

equating these two equtions in terms of y we can get the value of y

y 60 k 75*60*4 x 75*4

hi the answer to that age prob s wrong its just a multiplication of 39..

if try it trial and error u canget 49*39 u l get 1911 which s below that year they mentioned..............that s no way a calculation parameter.its for reference........so he died at1960 lived for 49 years.........that s the answer hope its correct
