Risk Identification needs to be done to identify critical areas and then test them

I think you dont have sufficient time to test the application. for that only you will have to check which testcase covers maximum functionality. you will have to execute that test case. and another thing you will which  test cases are more importance .

I think we can go for smoke testing where we can cover max functionalities with min test cases

If we realize that we are not able to test everything.  We can test the test cases based on.
i) Severity and priority
ii) Efficiency and effectiveness
iii) Covering most of functionality
