RE: 51 factorial endedwith how many zeros?

one zero  is  made  up of  one five(5) and one two(2)

i.e  5x2=10.

in  51 factorial 5 occurs 12 times  and 2  more  than  that

therefore combination of both will give 12 zeros.

50 = 5x5x2

45=5x9

40=5x8      35=7x5   30=6x5   25=5x5   20=5x4   15=5x3   10=5x2   5=5x1

in total  12  5's.

RE: 51 factorial endedwith how many zeros?
The answer is 10 zeros.Explanation:To make a zero it requires a 5 and a 2 or a 10.from 1 to 10 we have a (5,2) and a 10 so multiplication of all would give 2 zeros.similarly from 11 to 20 another 2.so in total for 51! we have 10 zeros.

RE: 51 factorial endedwith how many zeros?

    [ 51/5 ] +[51/5^2 ] +.....=12

    [51/2] +[51/2^2]+[51/2^3] +[51/2^4]+[51/2^5] +.........=47

      since there are 12 5's and 47 2's
      we can multiply 12 5's and 12 2's to get 10^12

  thus we will have 12 0's at the end of 51!
