if A,B,C are the the mechanisms used separately to
reduce the wastage of fule by 30%,20%,10% . what will

in this case, we consider that the wasted fuel by the first mechanism is sent to the second mechanism

the second mechanism ouput waste fuel is sent to the third mechanism....

so we have to multiply their fuel wastage percentages... hence

    ((100-30)/100)*((100-20)/100)*((100-10)/100) = 0.504   (or) 50.4%

the final ans  is then the amount of fuel saved (total fuel - final wastage of fuel)...


         hence  fuel economy = 100 - 50.4 = 49.6%
