In a school there are fewer than 500 students. The 1/3 are the whole numbers. The 1/4th and the 1/7th are the whole numbers. Find the total number of students in the school.

ans-476 this is divisible by 4 & 7 ....... as when we get the LCM of 4&7 .... we 'll get 28.... dividing 500 by 28 ... remainder 24 .... we want whole no.. when we divide the no. of student by 4 & 7....

hence according to my point of view....ans 476

ans-420 it s divisible by 3 4 & 7 we want whole no. that s divisible by 3 4 & 7 ...getting LCM of these three no. & dividing 500 by it we 'll get 80 as remainder there fore 420 'll be the ans

The L.C.M of 3 4 and 7 is 84. On dividing 500 by 84 the reminder is 20. Therefore the correct answer is 480

The L.C.M. of 3 4 7 is 84 and by dividing 500 by 84 we have reminder 80(not 20) so the number of students in the school will be 420.
