EXAMPLE:  If you are producing soda cans, the cans must be produced at a specified height, circumference, and weight.  The terms height, circumference, and weight are the attributes of the can, and these attributes are variable.  

So the question is:  Variables are quality characteristics that are classified as either conforming or non-conforming to specifications; A) True or B) False? 

When I read the explanation below the question, I am included to say "false".  But my better judgment tells me that it is the variable nature of the attribute that is in conformance and not the attribute alone.  So my answer to the question will have to be A) True.
