one config file is must but config's are more then also taken no prob.

Yes,i too opted for  "more than one" and it was wrong.I think,there can be more than web.config placed in different directories.The web.config in the higher level directory is overridden by the one in the lower level.

Please comment, if I am WRONG.

saswata.purkayastha you are correct. We can can have one web.config file in each different directories.?? But in one directory you have one only.
