hey guys. as far as am concerned the answers are as follows.

1. pramod is not fair skinned. Which of the following must be true ?
a) pramod is employed
b) if pramod is muscular, he is neither handsome nor lean
c) if pramod is tall, he is employed or muscular
d) if pramod is not employed, he is muscular
e) if pramod is tall, he may be muscular or handsome, but not both

look guys.
ans: choice.d

a) pramod is employed
choice.a cannot be true:
exp:
by cond.8 fair skinned and muscular men cannot be employed.
pramod is not fair skinned. but he may be a muscular men. so he may be not employed. the choice a show that he is employed which contradicts .

b) if pramod is muscular, he is neither handsome nor lean
choice b cannot be true:
exp:
pramod ->not fair skinned and he is muscular(given in choice)
all lean man are muscular by condition 5.
choic b tells that he(muscular) cannot be lean and hence violates.

c) if pramod is tall, he is employed or muscular
choice c: cannot be true:
exp:
acc to con 8. fair skinned and muscular cannot be employed..
pramod is a fair skinned. hence he cannot be employed.
choice c says , he can be employed. hence violates

d) if pramod is not employed, he is muscular
by condi.8
if a person does not employed, he must be from two category:
1. he is fair skinned or
2. he is muscular
we all know pramod is not fair skinned. so to be no employed the only other reason is "he is muscular".
i.e: if pramod is not employed, he is muscular.

hence choice d is the answer.

3. which of the following can be deduced from the information given ?
a) all rich men are handsome
b) some rich men are handsome
c) some rich men are employed
d) some rich men are muscular
e) all rich men are handsome, muscular, or employed

choice:a is the answer

a) all rich men are handsome
exp:
cond:2 All handsome men are fair skinned
cond:7 No fair skinned man who is not handsome is rich
by cond:7, a fair skinned and handsome people can be  rich.

so, a rich people must be both fair skinned and handsome.
by cond:2 we know that all handsome men are fair skinned.
hence we can say that, all rich persons are fair skinned.
hence a is the answer.

to be on the safer side, let check the remaining answer too.
b) some rich men are handsome
we conclude in the above para that all rich men are handsome and not some rich men.
hence b is not the answer.

c) some rich men are employed
acc to given details, rich men is related to fair skinned and handsome.
all handsome are fair skinned.
a fair skinned men is not employed.
hence we cannot deduce this choice.

d.) some rich men are muscular
may be or may not be. we cannot say this accurately if u analyze it. hence we cannot deduce it.
exp:
some muscular men are handsome.
 -->all  rich are handsome.
so there is a chance for muscular  men to be rich.(we cannot conclude this 100%)

but by cond4
some muscular men are not fair skinned.
-->no fair skinned men are rich.
so, some muscular men are not rich.(we can conclude this 100%)
what will happen if all the muscular man  fall in to this category.
hence this cannot be deduced 100%.

hence choice a. is the answer

4. which cannot be shown to be true or false on the basis of the information given ?
I. No fair skinned or muscular man is employed
II. Some muscular men are fair skinned but not handsome
III. No fair skinned man both handsome and lean
a) I only b) II only c) III only d) I and II e) II and III

ans is b:
exp.
choice a can be proved true.
I. No fair skinned or muscular man is employed

by cond.8, this can be proved as true. hence it is not the answer.

III. No fair skinned man both handsome and lean
by cond 2 :All handsome men are fair skinned
and cond6.No lean man is handsome

from this 2 cond: handsome men are not lean men.
hence it can be proved true.
