It is a integrated system of methodology activity invovling like planning,implementation,assessment,reporting and quality improvement to ensure that the process is of the type and quality needed and expected by the client/customer.

QA Life Cycle:    1: Test initiation,

2: Test planning,

3: Test design,

4: Test execution,

5: Defect reporting,

6: Documentation,

7: Signoff....

Basically the developement cycle starts when the product is first conceived and ends when the product is no longer in use. It includes various aspects such as

intiating

describing

designing

developing

testing

deploying

maintaining

guys, what you all have explained is QC life cycle. I feel there is a difference between QA and QC.

QA life cycle starts with the start of the project and goes throughout the entire Project life cycle. QA involves following the standards and checklists for each and every phase of project development ( Requirement gathering, Design, coding, testing, implementation)
