The Vugen records the behavior of the client s/w, and automatically generates a script that can be used by the controller to run vusers.

VuGen is a part of LoadRunner tool using which one can record the script. And this script may be used further for load testing and stress testing using Controller of LoadRunner.
In VuGen we set all the script-recording options and also the settings that has to be applied in Run Time.

Vugen is a component of load runner which can be used for developed loadrunner scripts called Vugen scripts. It is a protocol based tool. Vugen is used to developd script by capturing the activity between Client and server in web based application. Ex: In a web based application where Http protocol is selected, Vugen launches browser and traces all the all the requests sent to and received from server. Vugen supports ANSCI C language. Vugen script can be develope by merely recording but not writing
