RE: Dimension object

1 Double-click the object in the Universe window.
The Edit Properties dialog box is displayed.
2 In the Definition tab, change the object's type, if necessary.
3 Click the Properties tab.
4 In the Qualification box, click the Dimension radio button.
If the object is of type date, click the Automatic Time Hierarchy button, enter the necessary options, and then click the OK button.
5 Click the OK button.

RE: Dimension object
A Dimension object is typically textual information by which users analyze the numeric measures, such as product, region, or month. A dimension object often comes from the lookup or reference tables within the universe. Dimensions are typically character or date information or numeric codes such as product numbers and customer numbers.
