Recently i had attended Infineon test for Project Opportunity. The details of test are as follows

Total 3 parts

Part 1: Technical 30 questions

Part 2: C 16 questions

Part 3 : Aptitute 5 questions

Part 1:

I will try to remember few for you

1. What happens when interupt occurs...

2. What does IP hold

3. Question on RC circuit (a) low pass (b) high pass etc

4.What is latency??

5. Digital circuits can be implemented using only (a) Flip Flops (b) Mux (c) Encoders (d) decoders

6. What is diff between FFlop and Latch

7 The conductivity of a conductor increases with (a) Area (b) Temperature (c) Length (d) None

8. By increasing voltage across conductor (a) Mobility of carriers increases (b) They move faster (b) it becomes super conductor etc

Section 2: Basic C program and Unix questions ( and also perl i guess )

1. Whatis the instructions to print total no of lines in a file in unix

2. what is the meaning of & and $ in perl

etc etc

Section 3: I liked it a lot and hence remember all five question....

1. A boy starts to school in the morning. He looks at the clock ( without numbers printed ) in the mirror and guesses that it is not working properly. he reaches school in 20 minutes and sees that the time is 2.5 hours more than what he saw in the mirror. What is the time he left the house?

Ans: I couldnt solve this

2. Two trains are seperated by 200 miles and move towards each other with a speed of 100 miles/hr each. If a bee starts from train A and travels to train B and goes back to Train A and does like this continouslytill the trains meet. What is the distance travelled by the bee if it travels at 1000 miles / hr

Ans: 1000 miles ( Logic is simple...just find what is the time available for the bee to move...i think one hour..multiply that with its speed )

3. A merchant has 3000 bananas which he wants to sell in the market which is on the other side of the desert. He has only one camel and it can be loaded with 1000 bananas only. When it carries..it eats 1 banana every 1 km. If the distance to the market is 1000km how many bananas he can take to the market

Ans 500 ( Hint: try unloading the camel at 500 km and returning again )

4. A snail is in a 20m pit. It crawls 5m upwards in the day and slides 4m downward in day. How many days will it take to reach the top.

Ans: 16 ( hint: dont guess ans as 20, think what happens after day 15 )

6. Sam has 6 pairs 0f black gloves and 6 pairs of blue gloves which are randomly placed in a cupboard. What is the min no of gloves he should blindly pick from the cupboard so that he gets atleast one pair of same coloured gloves.

Ans : 3 ( Dont make a mistake of guessing it as 7 )

The aptitude questions are not labourous but just witty...Thonk out of the box concept...So all the best guys..i hope these questions will be useful to you...bye ( today is 20-06-06 )
