Hi

i did the infosys written test on 11th sept and clear the test and then clear one technical round for the 2yr expeperince one and they took my HR round also. Now they told me that i will receive a call from the department for which they are considering me and have to go through the telephonic round.And if i clear that last round then there are chances .

now please let me know if i have any chances to make it to the infosys .

i appeared for infy written on 11th n was shortlisted for the interview scheduled on the next day. as it was for laterals and i m a fresher my interview was taken on telephone (thats waght i think). but later i was informed that i wasnt selected as they didnt had suitable opening for me ( imagine .... they didnt had suitable opening for fresher) .... i have asked for reasons ..... did u make it .... wud like to know .... guys .... even if an of u think or feel what might be the reason WHY I WAS REJECTED then please inform the same

i gave the written on 11th sept in pune and was shortlisted for interview on 12th sept. I was asked to give the interview over the telephone which i gave. perhaps 'coz the requirement was for expericenced and i m a fresher. the interview of other shortlisted candidates was taken by a panel from infosys whereas i gave it over the phone .... i also appeared for the english written test and after 11 days they informed me that they didnt had any suitable opening for me.... hence was rejected ....

what abt u .... inform me and any other (fortunate) guys who made it to infy after clearing the written and interview on 11th sept. onwards ....

I got the call for the test on 16th may 2006 .Exactly 12 days before the exam.I was very apprehensive abt givin the test.. as my semester exams were goin on moreover i had my semester exam on 29th may.But wid the persuasion ofmyfrnds n family member idecided 2 give it a shot. So i just studied for hardly four days. Trust me if u solve all the previous years papers... its more than sufficient.... but u shud also know the approach of solving some key questions of shakuntala devi.. dnt try george summers at the last moment... as it confuses a lott. 28th may 2006 paper was from the previous years papers... questions werent tough.. i got 8.5 questions right ... and finished them well on time... i was confident ofclearin the written exam.Results were declared at arnd 4:00 my name was there. my interview was at arnd 9:20 in the morning i was very relieved as i had my semester exam at 2:30pm.. Interview was of only 15 minutes . theyasked me general questions...take my advice keep smiling and dont be too stubborn if they are objecting... and yeah in ur resume dont write nething extra in the extracurricular/achievements .....as they grill u .....completely

they asked me a very simple puzzle in the interview (A couple stays in a buildin wid a kid on the 15th floor . Building is not inhabited bymany ppl. their kid goes 2 play every evening n uses elevator.. but while coming bak he uses elevator goes to the 5th floor..n then walk up the stairs. what is the reason??)

my answer was probably the child is nt tall enuf topressthe 15th floor button. then they asked me for another reason .. n i said prolly he has got frnds on the5th floor so he goes up after socializing.they strd laughing).

i was pretty surprized when they asked me to leave after 15 minutes... wasnt sure ofgettin thru..

but got the mail from infy in 10 days .....

i would really like to thank uguys .. this sitewas very useful in gettin methru infy.

hi everyone

i got placed in infy on 14th july 2005.. it was a gud experience.. got 8 out of ten puzzles correct n then the interview as HR only.. no tech.. so guys preapare for puzzles try n solve both the shakuntla devi books (puzzle to puzzle you is more prefered) and the last year question papers.. try n get atleast 8 puzzles correct.. show ur working properly.. if u cannot solve any previous yr question .. just mug up that answer.. sometime it can work but try n solve it..

interview is just the coolest interview i had ever given.. all HR.. current affairs..etc..next day i was also placed in satyam so two in two days.. but infy is where i'll be going next year until n unless some company better than infy comes along my way...
