let the time taken to ans 50 maths ques= 50x

To ans remaining 150 questions= 150*x/2

50x+150*x/2=180

therefore x=36/25
therefore time taken to olve 50 maths problems= 50*36/25=72 minutes

50 maths problem
200 questions
3hrs

Solution

Let x be time taken

For 50 maths questions, time taken be=50x
For remaining questions, time taken be=150x/2

Total time taken=3hrs=60*3=180

So 50x* 150x/2=180

x=36/25

Now time taken for 50
maths problem =50*36/25=72 minutes
