What is the missing number in this series? 8 214 6 11? 14 6 18 12

Hi,
I came up with another thought...
the numbers are 8,2,14,6,11,?,14,6,18,12
Now add the 1st number and the last number .. it is 20.
not add the 2nd number which is 2 and the last but one number which is 18 ... it is 20..
So if you keep adding these all the sum equals to 20. So the number next to 11 should be 9. Any thoughts :-)Sravani

Ya your thought is right.but it can b done like this. the series is 8 2 14 6 11 ? 14 6 18 12 here we can tabulate as folows frm front frm back Diff (8,2) = 6 Diff...

Add the first and last number(i.e 8+12=20)
And add the second number and the number which second from last(i.e 2+18)
And so on............
Now the required answer is 9 (i.e 11+9=20) -

when we move down in yearwise a day decreases. but when a leap year comes 2 days gets decreased..for e.g.
12 jan 2008 --- saturday
12 jan 2007 --- friday
12 jan 2006 --- thursday
12 jan 2005 --- wednesday
12 jan 2004 --- monday..
so in 4 years five days gets reduced... so in this manner we can find out in which year wat day was on 12 jan..

let the members be a1,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j .Let a2 be the younger member who replaces a1.
we have,
a1+b+c+......+j=a2+b+4+c+4+d+4+.....+j+4
=> a1+b+c+....+j=a2+b+c+..+j+36
hence,the oldest member is 36 years older than the new memberibulal

ans is 60 benches
let x=no of benches
y=no of students per bench
given
x*y=600,---------(1)
and given that 10 benches are less hence 2 students are seated more than per bench then
600=(x-10)*(y+2)
600=xy+2x-10y-20------------(2)
since xy=600
then eq(2) is
2x-10y=20
2x-10(600/x)=20
on solving
we get x=60prititripathi

Answer: 33.33%
If suppose sp is 100% (assume)
Then gain % is 25%..
Then subtract it from sp we will get cp i.e 100-25=75%.
We know two basic formulas %gain=(gain/cp)*100 . or %loss=(loss/cp)*100.
So %gain=(25/75)*100=33.33

AS, There are some readers such that in each occupied reading spot there are
different numbers of readers. 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8= 36 readers so, 8 spots have
