Accenture has recently visited (On 3rd. June-06), Bhubaneswar, and they have gone through a two-days requirement drive program. They have chosen total 39 students (it was an off-campus at Silicon Institute of Technology) out of around 625 students. The selection procedure was really smart as far as other companies are concerned, as I had gone through 7 companies requirement drive program (HCL Tech, Satyam, Mind Tree, HP, Patni Computers, Syntel and iGATE) before that.
The process was consists of 1) Written Test.2) GD .3) HR Interview 4) Tech Interview.
1) The written test was conducted by Meritact Consultancy (They have come from kolkata), and the remaining process was executed by Team Accenture and honestly helped by the above said consultancy. The written test consists of four (4) sections.
They are
►Simple English
► Little Math’s and reasoning
►Data Checking
►Essay Writing (This section vary, like sometimes they give a long passage and ask questions…it is cool).
Try to attend all the questions ‘coz it is really easy.
2) The GD round is the elimination round. In our case they have taken students at the ratio of 13:3(In a batch consists of 13 or 14 students they have taken 3 or 4, Max) they see the communication skills. In our batch they have said that we are looking for good speaker, if u r not hammered by the content don’t get panic, try to speak as much as possible but don’t make a fish-market. Go for kill.
3) This HR interview is also the elimination round. They generally ask for
● GAPS in academics
● <50% marks. If u have +2 years of year GAPS, u have to work hard to get placed.
They won’t take you. If you have 1 or 2 years of GAPS please prepared a solid reason to justify ur GAPS. And as far as marks are concerned they will be seeking ur effort u have taken after that to gain more marks, that’s enough. And keep solid information about Accenture. And speak well. You will be selected.
4) This is the last round. They generally ask questions from
■ Software engineering
■ DBMS and
■ C, C++ and you should have a sound knowledge about your project, if u have.
They will ask very simple questions, it is the most –easy round as compared to other rounds.
And after clearing all the rounds u will be getting an offer-letter from the “Team-Accenture”. Well friends; get ready for the No.1 Management Consultancy and 8th. Position holder in SW service and 2nd. Largest BPO industry in the world.
