hi guys,
I just gave a test held by Infosys on 26th feb 2006 at mumbai
Here are the few questions asked for logic which i remember
1. This a repeated question. There are two marble players each are having same no of marbles, then the 1st one loses 20 marble, then by the end the 2nd player loses 2/3 of what he had.After this the 1st one has abt 4 times marbles as the 2nd marble player. Find how many marbles both had at the start.
Ans :100 marbles
2.Your clock loses abt 36 mins every hr, but it u had set the watch at 12 am and now it is showing 3 :00 AM, also the clock has stopped working 1 hour before.so find what time is it right now.
Ans : 6:00AM(pls check)
3. Find one number which is 10 digits long and u have to fill in the digits such that the 1st digit is the no which has been repeated in the whole number.For eg if 1st digit is 2 that means the digit 2 is been repeated twice in that number.
I didnt get this one.
4.There was this question of fishing which i dnt really remember but it hink it is repeated.
5.If in 100 kg potatoes there is 99% water, now these potatoes have been dried under sun for one day and now the % of water in this is only 98%, so find out what is the weight of potato in this new sun dried mixture.
6.A clock hand ticks as many number of times as the hours for eg is clicks for 1 time if its 1'o clock.Now if it takes 7seconds for 8'oclock , so for how many seconds it clicks in one day.
7.There was this question where few names were given like tom,al,smith,dick and their surnames were given like say courrs,mathew,henderson,cornwell(these surnames arnt the same as paper) also these surnames arnt necessary in the same order as their names.Now all these men play games, (i dnt remember but its like) tom plays the first match followed by smith, then henderson etc.................
8.In a hotel there are four tourist each of whom speak only two of the 4 languages ie spanish,french,italian,english.Now there are some conditions given and u have to find who all speak which all languages.
Other 2 questions i dnt remember.
Interview which i attended was purely Hr as u knw no technical questions are asked
The following are the questions they asked me:-
Tell me something abt urself?
Tell me abt the last yr project u have done?
Then they asked me to solve one of the questions of the logic paper to solve in front of them and then explain the ans.
They gave me a situation and asked me to describe my point of view like if ur working in a team and ur the team leader and suddenly just 2 days before the deadline ur team members leave, so how will u handle the situation.
Again they gave me a puzzle which is to plant 4 trees equidistant frm each other in a square plane.
Again they gave me a situation like if ur organizing a trekking and u have to send an email of do's and dont to all the participating member(small childrem,elderly people as well as younster) how will u draft ur mail.
They asked me y my % in my 12 std had fallen down?
They asked me if i had a problem for relocating my self?
They asked who is the ceo and chairman of infosys?
Well that sums it up.
I hope this helps all who r planning to give infosys test and interviews.
