Question:  Joe and Mathew go on vacation to their grandparents house. The either do yoga in the morning or play football in the evening making sure that they dont do both activities in the same day. During their vacation they did activities on 22 days. At the end of the vacation according to the report sent by her grandmother they didn't do anything on 24 mornings and 12 evenings. What was the total number of days they spent at their grandparents?

  let they work for m  mornings and for e evenings
Given 
   m+e=22;
         m'=24,e'=12 ('denotes complement);
      
m+m'=total number of days=e+e'=x;

   x=22-(x-12)+24;
   
hence total days =29
