Question:  You have 2 containers , one of 5litres and other of 3 litre capacity. provided with unlimited supply of water, you have to measure 4 litres with it

Fill in 5 litres container then pour it into 3 litre one.
Empty 3 litre can and pour the two litre left in 5 litre can into this. So you have 2 litres in 3 litre can.

Again fill 5 litre can completely and fill remaining one litre in 3 litre can.
So you are left with 4 litres in 5 litre can
