I would like to know what are the key differences between PowerCenter 7 vs 8?
Give one significant change version 8 is offering?

Transformation wise we have some new transformations have been introduces like SQL Transformation,HTTP etc.

we have file append mode has been introduced for the first time in informatica 8 for flatfile processing .

some new code pages have been introduced like IBM833,
IBM 834..

for Parameter and variables ..you have new properties like
[GLOBAL]
[SERVICE:INTEGRATION_SERVICE_NAME]
[Service:Integration_Service_name.ND:node_name]
