Cognos Connection is like container which holds the reports developed by your team as well as by user self in Myfolder.
It is used to-Create the Data Source,
- Imposes Security to Reports,
- Schedule the Jobs,
- Deploy the Reports to Diff Environments,
- Create Drill Though,
- Portal Administration etc.
Query Studio is used for Ad-hoc reporting which will be used by user him self to quickly answer a focused question.
Report Studio is used to develop the sophisticated reports which includes Multi-Page,Multiple-Query reports againt Multiple Data Source
Dynamic Reports includes dynamic filiters/prompts, Conditional formating, Busting etc..
In Master Detail Report , based on Master data Detail data will be shown on same page i.e by using master data detail data will be failter to show only the master data in same report.
In Drill Though - An action that uses the current context of a report, to access information in another report i.e based on the current data detail data of another report will be seen .
The main difference is Master detail report will be on same report were as Drill though will take to other report which is developed and saved already. |
