Question: QC administration - populating values from system defined field in an user defined field

Answer: I need to populate the data entered in releases tab (system defined field) into an user defined field in test plan for the test cases.
I don't want the test cases to be linked to the requirements which in turn needs to be linked to the releases. I would like to filter out the test cases directly from test plan and also keep the history of the modifications.

Yes it is the release module. I want the name to be populated as a dropdown field.
