let father's age is:- F and son's age is :- S present age son =>S=F/2 before 10 year the age of son is=>S-10=F/3
Substituing S=F/2 in S-10=F/3
F/2-10=F/3 cross multiplying this we get, (F-20)=2F/3 3F-60=2F Now 3F-2F=60 Therefore F=60
so presently the age of the father is 60 and age of the son is 30 where the age of the son was before 10 year is 1/3rd of the age of his father that is 20 year. |
