Question:  IGATE Interview Procedure and Pattern - June 2005 By karthik

Answer:

There were 4 rounds apptidude, Group Discussion, Technical and HR.

Previously Apptidude had another pattern but it was not there for us this time. It was for 30 mins and the questions were basically english, simple aps (like find the next in the series), there were 5 sections, first was section with 10 questions, and the next was given two cases and we have to tell abbout the inference, and third was there were 4 or 5 sentences given in mixed order we have to group them to form a meaningfull paragh and another one was logicall reasoning from barrons. The Apptidude was very easy 25 out of 50 was the cut off. Any one with little Apptidude skills and english knowledge can solve it.

the next round round was Group Discussion. It was also very simple. the HR asked us the topic . and it was also very simple no tight filteration if you just open your mouth and say somethinmg it's enough.

Then technical, the questions varied from panel to panel. in some panel they didn't ven asked a single technical question. In my panel he asked me the diffe. between while and for loop, steps to connect to the db in java, then some sql queries, inclding refence keys, outer join etc. i answered 90% of the questions

thatz it hr was just an eye wash. but answer politely.

igate selection procedure

igate company is just recruiting for CS , IT n MCA graduates..or else candidates from other branches well equipped with JAVA,.net etc...though they may ask to enter EC n EE students all its interviews r fake...unless u hav profound knowledge in CS..in interview they asked abt my mini project work..he asked me whether it is related with my programing...( as i am a candidate from Electronics)..since it was purely electronics based i was immediatly chucked out...panel consisted of only 1 person from igate..didnt even ask any Qs from C or C++...aptitude tests had around 50 Qs ( most of them verbal)...n technical setion with 20 Qs..most of the questions were repeated from the earlier papers of igate.
