These are:• File Format Group: Data Import / Export technology and Adobe Products in the Graphics and CrossMedia areas• Document Technology Group: Acrobat customization• Imaging Technology Group: Image Processing and UnderstandingThe File Format group is responsible for providing a comprehensive data interchange architecture for allAdobe products. This team is developing the core technology that is being used by most of the Adobeproducts like In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and Go Live.Part of this group was responsible for developing PageMaker 7.0, a major Adobe product, released in 2001.This is perhaps the first instance of a major software product having been authored in India. Teams fromthis group are developing and testing components for Adobe Products in the video editing space (Premiereand After Effects) and in the Graphics area (Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design).Document Technology Group is developing products and technologies related to the format, delivery andpresentation of electronic documents and their final rendering on the electronic and print media. This groupis spearheading Adobe’s effort in the ebook space and Acrobat’s deployment on the handheld devices suchas PALM, Pocket PC and Symbian.The Palm OS version of Acrobat Reader was recently developed by thisgroup. More than 1 million Palm users have downloaded this product.The imaging technology group is developing products and technologies in the area of image processing,understanding and compression. In the area of image compression the group is developing new algorithmsfor the standard image compression technologies like JPEG and GIF and also developing technology andproduct ideas around the emerging compression technologies like Wavelets, JPEG 2000 and JBIG2.Thisgroup will define and implement the future of image compression and how images will be used on the weband mobile devices.Future PlansWe currently have around 500 engineers and the strength is expected to increase to around 700 by the endof 2006. While continuing to focus on our existing strengths, we plan to come out with new product andtechnology ideas for Adobe.REQUIREMENTS- AN OVERVIEWSoftware Professionals (Member of Technical Staff)We require brilliant engineers to engage in new product development on evolving architectures. You musthave strong programming skills in C/C++. The desired areas of expertise are- File Format, Plugins, Filters,COM, OOA&D, WinNT/CE, internet technologies, imaging and graphics.1. QUALIFICATIONS :•B.Tech (CSE, Electrical, Electronics)•M.Tech – Dual Degree Prog. - (CSE, B.Tech.-Electrical with M.Tech. in Info. & Comm. Tech.)•M.Tech – 5 Yrs. Integrated (Mathematics & Computing)•M.Tech – 4 Semester Prog. (CSE, Electrical with Comp. Tech.)Aspirants should possess good analytical skills, ability to develop innovative solutions for complexproblems, strong maths background and should be a team player.• CGPA7.5 /10 is the minimum to qualify for the written test. B.Tech.(CSE), B.Tech. + M.Tech (CSE) -Dual Degree programme And M.Tech (4 Semester programme) - Only CSE can apply for thewritten test with 7/10 CPI.2.
