Both are same meaning one is used in Cobol-II other in Cobol-I. According to syntax INSPECT identifire-1 TALLYING identifier-2 FOR ALL identifire BEFORE identifire. REPLACING LEADING AFTER CONVERTING CHARACTERS FIRST EXAMINE identifire TALLYING identifier-2 FOR ALL identifire-3 REPLACING LEADING FIRST CHARACTERS
